Saddle clips are used to attach grating to structural members.
A popular method of attaching grating to structures involves formed metal pieces, variously called saddle clips, butterfly clips, and M-Clips, placed onto the grating top surface and attached with a suitable screw, bolt, or pin to the structure. All of our saddle clips are designed for use with a 0.25” diameter fastener.
Saddle Clips offered by our company include the following units: GSCF-10: The most common saddle clip, this clip is used to fasten 19-space grating to structures. It has an oval-shaped hole, which will accommodate either a screw or a carriage bolt.
SSF-10: This is the stainless version of the F-10 series. It is resistant to corrosion in most environments, due to its 316SS stainless steel material. SADDLE CLIP INFORMATION PAGE SADDLE CLIP F-10 INFORMATION PAGE -
Attach Odd Shaped Bar Grating to Structural Shapes Where the Flange is in a Horizontal Plane
G-Clip model RGN is a galvanized carbon steel grating fastener used to fasten odd-spaced gratings to structural members, where the flange is in a horizontal plane. G-Clip model RGN fastener consists of three parts, which are assembled at our Louisiana factory into a complete installation unit, packed 50 units to a standard box. The principal part is the grip-jaw portion of the assembly, which has a female-thread form in its upper portion. This grip-jaw is die-stamped, with die-cut, toothed-shaped segments facing upward, which contact the underside of the structural member. The second part is the stamped top, which fits flat over the grating upper surface. The body and top are joined by the third part, a 1/4"-20 threaded bolt. This bolt varies in length to suit what is required for the application. VIEW MODEL RGN INFORMATION SHEET VIEW MODEL RGN ENGINEERING DETAIL -
Model GN-1 "Narrow-Grip"
Attach 15-space grating to structures with horizontal edges.G-Clip model GN-1 is a galvanized carbon steel grating fastener used to fasten 15-space bar grating to structural shapes, where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane. This unit has a narrower width than our GG-1 series.

Attach Lightweight Devices to a Structural Surfaces thick.
G-Clip Model GM is a fastener used to fasten lightweight devices to 19-space bar grating. The GM-1/2” is designed to be used instead of J-bolts. It will withstand 1000 pounds of direct upward pull force. G-Clip Model GM fastener consists of three parts, which are assembled at the factory into a complete installation unit, packed 20 units to a standard box. The principal part is the lower body of the assembly, which is a specially stamped wing that is mechanically galvanized and holds captive a ½” zinc-plated nut. This lower body contacts the underside of the grating panel. The second part is the stamped top, which fits flat over the grating upper surface. The top is 2” wide and has an octagon shape. This plate is mechanically galvanized. The body and top are joined by the third part, a 1/2:” zinc-plated threaded stud. This stud is either 3” or 5” in length, depending on the job required. The body and top are joined by the third part, a 1/4"-20 threaded bolt. This bolt varies in length to suit what is required for the application. VIEW GM PRODUCT ENGINEERING DETAIL -
