Attach grating to steel members with horizontal edges in selected corrosive environments.
G-Clip Model WSSGG is a 316-stainless steel grating fastener used to fasten bar grating to metal or other structural shapes, where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane. Other stainless steel tops are available for use with the SSGG grip-jaw, to be used on popular pultruded and molded fiberglass gratings. G-Clip Model WSSGG fastener consists of three parts, which are assembled at our Louisiana factory into a complete installation unit, packed 50 units to a standard box. The principal part is the grip-jaw portion of the assembly, which has a female-thread form in its upper portion. This grip-jaw is die-stamped, with die-cut, toothed-shaped segments facing upward, which contact the underside of the structural member. The second part is the stamped top, which fits flat over the grating upper surface. The body and top are joined by the third part, a 1/4"-20 threaded bolt. This bolt varies in length to suit what is required for the application. MODEL WSSGG PRODUCT INFORMATION SHEET VIEW WSSGG-CLIP PRODUCT ENGINEERING DETAIL -
Saddle clips are used to attach grating to structural members.
A popular method of attaching grating to structures involves formed metal pieces, variously called saddle clips, butterfly clips, and M-Clips, placed onto the grating top surface and attached with a suitable screw, bolt, or pin to the structure. All of our saddle clips are designed for use with a 0.25” diameter fastener.
Saddle Clips offered by our company include the following units: GSCF-10: The most common saddle clip, this clip is used to fasten 19-space grating to structures. It has an oval-shaped hole, which will accommodate either a screw or a carriage bolt.
SSF-10: This is the stainless version of the F-10 series. It is resistant to corrosion in most environments, due to its 316SS stainless steel material. SADDLE CLIP INFORMATION PAGE SADDLE CLIP F-10 INFORMATION PAGE -

SSI-60-1.5: This saddle clip is designed for fiberglass, pultruded gratings that are 1.5” in height or more. It can also be used on 1.5” square mesh fiberglass gratings. It is also made of stainless steel.

SSGF-1.5 Saddle Clip: Available 316-series stainless steel Saddle clips are used to attach 1-1/2” square mesh fiberglass grating to structural shapes. Grating Fasteners Model SSGF-1.5 is a 316 stainless steel grating fastener used to fasten 1-1/2” square mesh fiberglass grating to structural shapes. This particular fastener can be installed with a tek screw. The SSGF-1.5 saddle clip, is an M-shaped, stamped and formed piece of 16 gauge 316 stainless steel that fits over the grating upper surface. A hole is punched in the center of the clip to allow a 1/4” tek screw or other fastener to be used. Tek screws are not included with the saddle clips, but can be purchased separately. A 410 SS #14 screw is available. The screw has a 3/8” hex washer head. The point in the tek screw is a #3 point. This screw is available in two sizes, 1-1/2” or 2.
