Parallel Grating

  • Attach devices to grating surface

Model GP-1 Available in Galvanized Carbon Steel. Model SSGP-1 Available in 316-Stainless Steel. The model GP-1 describes an assembly of fastener parts that can be used to fasten parallel grating panels to each other. The top part is a G-Clips unique top for better holding strength and to suit 19W4 grating. Second, a G-Clips patented bottom bar connects between the grating panel underside and projects sideways under the second grating panel. A hex-headed cap screw connects the two, and its length suits the grating height being installed Use of this model can reduce the deflection that often occurs when a single grating panel deflects downward due to traffic, and adjacent but unconnected panels cause an inadvertent trip hazard. By combining the strength of two panels, the load is shared, and deflection is lessened. Used properly, this can reduce trip hazards. VIEW MODEL GP INFORMATION SHEET
  • Attach Close Mesh Grating to Structural Shapes

MODEL RSCGC is a 316-stainless steel grating fastener used to fasten close mesh bar grating to metal or other structural shapes, where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane. The narrow grip-jaw on the clip allows it to be used on gratings with as little as 3/8” opening. Our nickname for this part is “Cast Close-Grip.” G-Clip model RSCGC fastener consists of three parts, which are assembled at our factory in Louisiana, then packed 50 units to a box. The principal part is the grip-jaw portion of the assembly. This grip-jaw is cast stainless steel, with toothed-shaped segments facing upward. The second part is the stamped top, which fits flat over the grating upper surface. The round shape allows it to be used on almost any bearing bar configuration. The body and top are joined by the third part, a 1/4"-20 threaded bolt. This bolt varies in length to suit the application, always 1/4” shorter than the height of the grating. • Attach T-Bar Grating to Parallel Grating Panels.

MODEL SSGP is a stainless steel fastener used to fasten parallel sheets of bar grating together. The purpose of the SSGP- is to prevent deflection due to weight loads and eliminate trip hazards. It requires a companion model SSGG- to be installed correctly. They are sold either alone as SSGP’s or in SSGP/SSGG sets. G-Clip model SSGP fastener consists of three parts, which are assembled at the factory into a complete installation unit, packed 25 to a standard box. The principal part is the lower body of the assembly, which has a female-thread form. The lower body portion of the clip is a die-stamped piece of galvanized flat bar. This flat bar creates a flange for the SSGG grip jaw. The lower body contacts the underside of both grating panels. The second part is the stamped top, which fits flat on the grating top surface. The body and top are joined by the third part, a 1/4”- 20 316SS threaded bolt. This bolt varies in length, depending on the depth of the grating. MODEL SSGP INFORMATION PAGE
